Clinical Internship Program
We believe mental health resources and support services should be available to all. Our Clinical Internship Program provides our community with low-cost counselling options. This program includes Psychotherapist and Social Work Students who will continue building skills in working with children and youth through direct client counselling.
Our Clinical Intern Therapists work directly under the supervision of Anna Raworth (MSW, RSW, CPT), Director of Acorn Counselling.

Charlene Forde-Smith
BA, MSc, MSW Candidate
Charlene is dedicated to supporting children, teens, and adults through their unique journeys. By integrating empathy and evidence-based strategies into her practice, she strives to help clients foster resilience and growth in a way that is both personalized, collaborative and holistic. Her approach is trauma informed, culturally sensitive, and client-centred, helping individuals work towards a more balanced life.
Charlene holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience and Behavioural Studies with a Mental Health Specialization, and a Master of Science in Psychology from McMaster University. She is currently pursuing a Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto.
Chelsea Dickson
BA, MACP Candidate, RP (qualifying)
Chelsea supports children, youth, and their families in navigating challenges, building confidence, and fostering healthy relationships. She believes in creating a warm and nonjudgmental environment to allow clients to grow. Her approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and tailored to meet the unique needs of each family, ensuring that everyone feels heard, valued, and empowered on their journey towards well-being.
Chelsea is currently completing a Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University and hold an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Child and Youth Studies from Brock University.
Taylor Chinn
MSW Candidate
Taylor will be supporting macro-level efforts in the practice, while providing low cost short term counselling support to community members.
