A workshop for caregivers and clinicians to learn and apply techniques to build trust and secure attachment to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children who have experienced adversity, harm, trauma and/or toxic stress.
A workshop for caregivers and clinicians to learn and apply techniques to build trust and secure attachment to meet the complex needs of vulnerable children who have experienced adversity, harm, trauma and/or toxic stress.
Through a series of four full-day workshops, caregivers and/or clinicians can learn how children who have experienced adversity, early harm, toxic stress and/or trauma may experience changes in their bodies, brains, behaviours, and belief systems making it difficult to trust, potentially leading to concerning behaviours.
Join our workshops to learn about what TBRI is, as well as the three fundamental principles guided to teach techniques on how to address the physical needs of children, their attachment needs as well as how to disarm fear-based behaviours:
- Learn about an evidence-based treatment model
- Understand how trauma impacts development
- Connect big behaviours and meltdowns to underlying needs
- Learn and apply practical skills and strategies based on 3 key TBRI principles
- Develop confidence and compassion towards yourself and the people you’re supporting
This workshop is geared towards both parents/caregivers of children with trauma histories, as well as clinicians who are wanting to better understand and apply attachment based principles and support the parents they work with.
Learn first hand about TBRI’s principles of connecting, empowering, and correcting through teaching/presentation, role plays, experiential components, reflection, and hands-on activities.
