This full-day workshop is for parents, caregivers, and the clinicians supporting them to:
- Learn about an evidence-based treatment model
- Understand how trauma impacts development
- Connect big behaviours and meltdowns to underlying needs
- Learn and apply practical skills and strategies based on 3 key TBRI principles
- Develop confidence and compassion towards yourself and the people you’re supporting
This workshop is geared towards both parents/caregivers of children with trauma histories, as well as clinicians who are wanting to better understand and apply attachment based principles and support the parents they work with.
Learn first hand about TBRI’s principles of connecting, empowering, and correcting through teaching/presentation, role plays, experiential components, reflection, and hands-on activities.
Walk away with a high level understanding of trauma-informed care, a solid understanding of attachment strategies, as well as some new tools to help you help parents and children build strong relationships.
